Hi

Does anyone know of a telephone service provider that doesn't charge extra because you don't pay by direct debit?

telewest are now charging 5 a month extra - and it seems to be going up and up and i am sick of it.

i think its disgusting that regular customers are penalised just because staff actually have to do their job and answer the phone or open and envelope and process the payments - just like they used to....

i am freelance so can never be sure whats in the account on any given day.

many thanks

I think if it is cheaper to collect by direct debit then it is right that people who pay by direct debit can be charged less.

I pay all my servies by DD (gas, electric, Telewest, mobile phone, National Trust etc)

If you are freelance, why not open a separate bank account JUST for your direct debits. You then know roughly what is going out of that account each month, and just make sure you have that amount in that bank account at the begining of each month.

you are not being charged less, we are being charged more!!

your service prices are the same as everyone elses! they have just added extra to ours!

as a freelance it is irregular and impossible to ensure there is money there, or when you actually physically get paid.
