Does anyone know which English word is derived from the Hebrew word - 'proper'? Thank you for any help.

Certainly "bags" is an old slang word for "trousers", but a form of plastic is "polythene" which is use throughout the clothing trade!
Personally, I'd go with POLYTHENE TROUSERS - but don't blame me if it's not correct. Drainpipe trousers are still a possibility (but not my choice).

Thanks crofter for your interest and comments ( I would never blame anyone for a 'wrong' answer by the way, I'm always pleased when anyone gives up their time to think about answering my questions!).
My husband has now posted the quiz off - using 'drainpipe trousers' as the answer - it'll be interesting to find out the correct answer.
