school crossings

can i get a ticket if while stopped to let people cross at a school crossing my child gets out of the car

it could be very dangerous,but i doubt if you would get a ticket,much safer to drop them in a better place.

Don't know of any case law on this but it could be interpreted as contravening the unloading/loading at a crossing law.

It depends if the crossing is a marked pedestrian crossing and you are parked on the zig zag crossings or not, if you are you can be ticketed.
