arrgh... New Years Eve

My friend and I have been invited to A new Years Eve party, but although I normally prefer a party, i think we are going to be the only singletons there. Now we could go and be the only people without someone to kiss (im not snogging her )at midnight but spend the rest of the night in the company of our friends OR we could head off for a more expensive night on the town, without that awkwardness at midnight. Am I being stupid, even considering not going so I dont have to sit around all the smugness?

You could head off to town, blow a small fortune, be surrounded by strangers and risk some vommitty drunk with urine and kebab stains on his pants slobbering over you at midnight...or you could go to the party which will be a cheaper option and you'll be surrounded by friends. You may not be the only singletons there.......
I know which option I'd prefer!

I'm hoping that you have such a great time with all your friends that when the bells start a ringing at 12 you really couldn't give a flying monkeys crackhole if your snogging some munter or not, just go to have fun and stop thinking to much.

forget about the snoggers and concentrate on the champagne you'll be busy popping when the bells strike - or scupper the snoggers and bring 5 or 6 bottles of cava, hand them to the people nearest to you so come midnight they will be too busy opening and pouring to find time to snog each other

Hi Goods, Go to the party and be surrounded by people you want to be surrounded by, I think it is much nicer to be with friends and or family(long as you get on with the family that is) than a whole load of people you don't know from adam,relax enjoy it,it will be great at the party, whatever you decide have a great time,and I wish you a happy christmas and a fantastic new year, Ray xxx

Hi Goodsoulette. I would go to the party with friends. I know when I go to parties with my husband we are not a smug gruesome twosome and I hardly see him all evening ane vice versa. New Years Eve usually grab the first person I see (usually a bloke!!!) for the traditional kissing bit. Last party I went to mix of singles and couples and you would not have know who was with who, people dancing, chatting just having a great time.

Whatever you decide just make sure you have a really fun time.
