what would be better to have ,if you only like certain games, i enjoy playing games like first person shooter and games like time crisis, is xbox better than playstation
Are we talking about the original Xbox & the PS2 or Xbox 360 & PS3?
As far as the Xbox 1 & PS2 go, then the Xbox is far better for FPS games than the PS2 (which does have a few gems around for it) but for light gun games such as time crisis the PS2 has a far better selection than Xbox (the light gun game selection on Xbox is pathetic to be honest!)
As for 360 & PS3 it's a bit to early to tell. 360 will get (and has got) a number of great FPS games but the PS3 won't be restricted by it's power like the PS2 was so it's selection might be just as good! The 360 doesn't have any light gun games for it & I would presume (but don't quote me on it!) the PS3 will play all those PS2 light gun games.
Erm, no it won't, you see, the PS3 won't have the traditional slots for the PS1 and PS2 controllers, which is where you also plug in the light gun, as the PS3 controllers are all wireless :O)
As far as FPS's go anyway, on PS2 you have all the Call Of Duty games, all the Medal Of Honour, Brothers in Arms, The very excellent Black, The Brilliant Timesplitters games(Go for number 2), and you should really try out xiii, which is shot like a film noir comic book, as well as numerous others, so don't believe the Sony haters who tell you there aren't many about :O)
Yeah, that xiii is class on the old X-box as well, what a game, I picked it up for 4.99!
A real 'sleeper', not as well publicised as some big games, but a genuine, innovative, classic.
We obviously have very different tates John because I still say there aren't many good PS2 FPS games out there. The best 2 are Half Life & Red Faction (the first one, the sequel is crap!) which always get forgotten about. The Timesplitters games are a waste of disc space and Black is mindless garbage. The Medal of Honor games are average at best. All those games John mentioned are also on Xbox and you will also have the following to get into which are not on PS2 : Halo 1 & 2, Half Life 2, Doom 3, Resurrection Of Evil, Chronicles Of Riddick (this is fantastic!), Deus Ex Invisible War among others. Don't believe it when anyone trys to tell you that the PS2 can compare to Xbox for FPS games ;o)
Lol, ya twisted wee get. If you're into shooters of any type, go for the very best, even though it's also on Gamecube, the incomparable Resident Evil 4. Anyone who tells you this isn't a great game has been sniffing the glue :O)
