My hamster is over 2 years old and has recently become very swollen around her belly and back. she is finding difficulty climbing through tubes because of her girth and cannot climb at all. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong with her?

I am sorry to say this but hamsters are very prone to getting cancerous lumps. I have had many in my time and they all died ot them . 2 is a very good age for a hamster. If she is not eating much i would consider taking her to the vets for them to have a look. It could be someting and nothing
she needs to see the vet, and i agree she is a good age for a hamster

Thank you for the two suggestions about my hamster. I can't feel any lumps, it's more like fluid retention but she is passing urine readily
