The Rookery.

Well read as I thought I was. But this has me stumped. Which literary character lived at The Rookery? Anyone got a clue? Many thanks ben.

In David Copperfield, didn't he and his mother live somewhere called the rookery? That's the only thing that's ringing bells with me at the moment tho I've got a vague idea about Miss Marple for some reason too, (I'm fairly sure the latter is incorrect). But I think there's a rookery in David Copperfield.

David Copperfield was indeed born and lived in The Rookery at Blunderston.A claim has been made that Blunderston Hall is the original Rookery, in that the inside coincides more fully with the description of David's birthplace than the other claimant, The Rectory. Conversely, the view of the gravestones, the sundial on the church, the chuchyard gate can only be seen from The Rectory.
One of our local claims to fame along with Lord Nelson and just round the corner from me !!
