hi thank you for your answers.My daughter couldnt have stitches because there was no skin to stitch,the wound is quite deep.The hosp cleaned it out,put a dry dressing on and gave her antibiotics.Have phoned the hosp and they said they will phone me back.still waiting.I have changed her dressing everday since sat.The hosp didnt say if that was normal.

I would give the 5 or 6 hours to get back to you...if no call comes get right back to the hospital and go to emergency ....with someone who is bleeding they usually get seen quite quickly...but don't get fobbed off by some inexperienced person...stick to ur guns!!! get ur daughter seen!!!
