Loft Insulation
3 Answers
My loft has virtually no insulation whatsoever, but I would like to get this sorted in the near future.I live in a house with a pitched roof and I am not sure if I need to insulate the pitched area as well as the floor. If I do, what thickness of inslation is required, bearing in mind that there is no insulation whatsover on the pitched area, and all you can see is the roof tiles.

Then lay 6" of insulation between the joists (max it will take). Then lay further insulation across the joists so there is at least 10" of insulation in total.
