The Ivy is really expensive, you may see the odd actor / footballer, Cheapest bottle of wine 45. I know the Southbank well, my advice between the Ivy and the National Theatre there are some nice restaurants down the side streets / on the Thames...no need to book. The best in the world is the Resturant on the top floor of the Tate Modern ( need to book, the earlier the better view) ask for the Thames side. Very reasonable.
