He can be hilarious, but he can tell sick jokes- like describing Christopher Reeve as "a head on a box" following his accident where he ended up paralysed from the neck down, or Princess Diana walking around heaven with a steering wheel around her head instead of a halo.
I enjoyed his movie "private Parts", but I wouldn't listen to his radio programme if I lived in USA

He is a 'shock jock' - the original and never bettered. To be as good as Stern you need to be deeply intelligent, incisive, witty, and very very quick thinking - and no-one beats him. His live show is often breath-taking in its lapses of taste - he once heard a news item that a plane had crashed on take-off from Kenedy Airport, and in the time it takes to dial, he was querying the cost of a ticket from JFK to the Potomac river ... one way!

He is what he is - he makes no apologies, he loves his wife and children, and is seriously good at what he does.
