Changing Song File Format
3 Answers
I'm a total techno-phone so hope someone understands me!
I want to put some iTunes onto my mp3 Walkman phone but the formatting is all wrong and they won't play.
Short of burning them onto a CD and then pulling them back off as usual, I can't for the life of me think of how to sort this out.
Also unfortunately I'm at work so don't have an awful lot of time to look into it!
Any quick suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

This must be a fairly common problem or, at least, have a simple solution that is staring me in the face!
Surely I'm not the only one...?!

Click edit->preferences, and goto the importing tab. Change it to import as mp3 as default.
Now you can highlight the songs you want and right-click to be able to 'convert to mp3', which will convert your files. These should play.
However, your walkman phone will also play mp4 music files too, the default iTunes format, so i'm not sure that that's your problem. Are you sure you're putting the songs into the right place in your 'removable drive'? I have the Sony W810i walkman phone, and the files need to be put into a specific folder.
