Secondly, you should really consult your GP before coming off the pill. And yes, the pill can screw around with your cycle too.
But still do the test to check. Then go to your GP. They can tell you if it's just symptomatic of coming off the pill or if there is an underlying cause.

xcharliex, are you still on your diet, this could play a part in your periods, first off, take a test and then go to your doctors as there may be other factors at work, ultimately as china doll and cas1975 say, you must consider why you are on the pill and what benefits it will give you, maybe there are other contraceptive methods which would be more suited to you.

i was on the pill for a while when i was about 19, when i stopped taking it my periods stopped for 9 months, there was nothing wrong with me but the doctors told me that it can take a few months for your cycle to get back to normal.
i would take a test to be sure, but if it is negative this may be the case!!

It's not necessarily harming your body.
Going back to what I said in my first answer coming off the pill can bu88er up your body for a little while which is why it's usually best to come off it in conjunction with your GP.
I would suggest just popping along to the GP and explaining all this, they can put your mind at rest. However they can also test to see if there is another reason why this might happen. E.g. Polycystic Ovaries. They would be able to tell from your medical history whether it is just coming off the pill that has effected you or whether there could be another underlying cause. I would recommend you do this.
