There have been a lot of bands called the gamblers. Van Morrison's first band was formed from a Belfast based band of that name and there's currently a ska/punk band called that as well. you may be referring to the newcastle based band who used to back Billy Fury who can be found here : www.geocities.com/fabgear6366/gamblers.htm A search on google for "The Gamblers" + "Band" will give you lots of options but you should be able to narrow that down if you know which band you are looking for.
