Ambience at its best....

Hello everyone,

I recently discovered the delights of an Icelandic band named Sigur Ros. They are an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical and minimalist elements, and their music is chillout music at its finest, without the branding of one of the ever boring, predictable Ibiza chillout albums that are coughed up out of the corporate music machine.
I know of many bands of a similiar nature, Nightmares On Wax, Elbow, Zero 7, etc to name but a few, but to further extend my knowledge of a phenomenal music genre, I thought I would put it to the ever trustworthy answerbank members to let me know what artists and music they know of of similiar nature....
I shall be both intrigued and excited to see everyones responses!!!

Try "God Speed You Black Emperor"
Totally agree with you about Sigur Ros, I saw them last summer in Southampton and I was totally blown away by them.
I reckon it was the second best gig I've ever been to (and I've been to more than a lot)
The best was Pink Floyd at Earls Court in '94, by the way.
