What's the best one to use on top lids? Liquid or pencil?

It depends on the look you're going for - liquid can be more dramatic. I use liquid going out and pencil for day to day

i was introduced to liquid eyeliner on my top lid and havnt left the house without a coat. i love it really gives eyes defenition!!! hope that helps xx

For a smoky look a soft pencil is best, such as Bad Gal by Benefit. If you want a more "stylised" look, such as 60's or goth then a liquid one gives a much more definite look that lasts longer and is (to me, at least) easier to manipulate where you want it.

Whatever look you're after, it depends how steady your hand is! What I use in the daytime is an eyeliner pen, very thinly above the eyelid. In the evenings it's always good to draw your initial line a little thicker with the pencil (you can rub it off easily if you make a mistake) and then a coat of liquid on top

most people say pencil because it isnt as runny- wrong! definitely liquid because the pencil doesnt go on as straight & liquid is also easy to neaten up with a cotton bud :-D x
