Editor, Perhaps you might consider a section for Neighbourhood Watch - a community iniative supported by police, but not run by them. In a Parliamentary debate (Hansard 27 May 2004) reference was made to there being about 155,000 Watch schemes.
That sounds about enough, can't be doing an officer of the lawer out of a job. How could we keep an eye on what is going on outside when we are all facing our laptops? Oh and the woman across the road, (we lovingly call her curtain hair) covers our street sufficiently anyhew.
Neighbourhood Watch is about having safer communities, especially where elderly and vulnerable people are concerned, helping to prevent crime, sharing information to warn people of frauds and scams, and knowing who to turn to for help.
