Notebook mouse

I have been given a Logitech V200 cordless noteboook mouse. Can I plug in the micro receiver in my normal PC USB socket for it to work or will it only do it with notebook computers? I don't want to get it out of the packaging if I have to take it back... Thanks for your help!

Should work with any type of computer.
