why do your nails curl as they grow

probably to do with the weight ie they cant support their own weight
I think its because you embarress them
Generally, because one side of the nail grows slightly faster than the other causing them to curl if left to grow beyond the fingertips. Additionally, the bottom part of the nail next to the tender nail bed is restricted more than the top part, also causing some curling. One site states that nails that tightly curl around the fingertips as they grow can be the sign of heart disease...
