Is it true that tourists are not permitted to drive cars in china?

I do believe that is the case yes. It's because they drive slightly differently to over here :p. If a foreigner were to drive a car then it would probably result in many cyclists being run over or everything grinding to a halt.
Why would you want to drive a car in China? They never use their lights at night and you are surrounded by millions of bikes. Nightmare!
You wouldn't be able to read the signs!
yes when you go to china it is very restrictive because of the chinese government you have to stick to certain routes and usually travel in groups with a group pass
yes because they forgot to make them. they waste all their time making little sticers thats say "made in china" learn chineese - neee mayo gee gee - i am soo cool
