Anthony Newley got to no. 6 in 1959, Lloyd Price got to no.9 in the same year with the same song, and Lena Zavaroni got to no. 33 in 1974.
Here's a little thing that always makes me smile when i read hear mention of Ms Zavaroni. When she split up with her husband many years ago, The Sun, that bastion of Fleet Street, quite rightly reported the tragic event on it's front page. In those days they used to print a thought for the day just below the red-top bit....on this day it simply read "Lena's on her owny". Brilliant.
