Hi, yesterday I altered the setting for my desktop display from a blank screen to a nice picture I had in 'My Pictures', but the next time I turned it on the blanc screen is back! What am I doing wrong? Why won't it stay where I put it?

You probably changed the desktop wallpaper and simply clicked 'OK'. That simply tells your PC that you want to use the picture for the current session.

Try again but, this time, click 'Apply' before clicking 'OK'. ('Apply' revises the default settings).

Nope - that didn't do it! Any more suggestions?
You might get a different result if you set your wallpaper a different way. Everyone should have Irfanview on their PC. (It's a superb image viewing and manipulation program). If you haven't got it, download it from here:

Start Irfanview and open the picture you require. Then select Options > Set as wallpaper.
