Please could somebody tell me which tube station is closer - Shepherds Bush or White City? The BBC website suggests both stations, and not being a local I am unsure. TIA

Definitely Shepherds Bush Station - BBC TV Centre is right beside the station. I pass it everytime I go to my son's. I get off the next station Goldhawke Road.
I've been there occasionally, always via White City as IAP says (and as his map shows)
That map shows Shepherds bush as nearer.
White City underground is opposite the gates of the BBC.....
Beware of Shepherds Bush there are two stations a looong way away from each other the one you want is on the Hammersmith and City line - if you are traveling on the Central Line don't get off at Shepherds Bush get off at White City!
I must be looking through a different pair of glasses from you, JimJools, I see White City tube just over the road, while SB is down Wood Lane and around the corner (and the other SB isn't even on the map).

There's a mega shopping mall going up in the blank space bottom right of the map
