i went to see the play some time ago - the fulltext i believe is available at the above link, but i think the gist of it was that a wife did some bad stuff to her husband, and instead of taking what would have been the accepted punishment or whatever (divorce, excommunication, whatever) he instead treated her extremely well, set her up in a nice house with a private income etc etc and the guilt eventually did for her, or something like that.
