a few christmasses ago, i got a cd player from tescos, recently when i play copied cd's that i made because i dont' have the original one, its not been playing that well. sometimes it does, but most of the time it starts spinning it, then it clicks, then keeps clicking, and when it acually does play it skipps parts of it. can anyone offer any advice on why this is happeneing? or could anyone reccomend a cd player that does play copied cd's?

sounds like the player can't read the disc because it's not been correctly formated, closed or finalized. but to be honest mate cheaper cd players don't always have the ability to read copied cd's reliably. save up your pennies and buy yourself something half tidy like a NAD, Arcam, Teac, Denon, Kenwood etc
Another thing i noticed, we have a crap CD player at work too, if you burn the cd at a slower speed it might help, usually works for me.
