Apple iPhone functions
3 Answers
I saw the iPhone launch video yesterday and checked out apple's site. It looks stunning, but I wonder just how much it actually does. Yeah, the touchscreen is next century, the widescreen iPod is fab, the phone setup looks ace, but I saw no mention of things like MMS... It does text, it takes photos, but the only demo I saw of both together was shown being sent as an email. Surely they haven't missed out MMS? I'm always sending picture messages! 'Apple reinvent the phone'. Have they reinvented it and forgot about a few bits?

""iPhone features the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse. It's an entirely new interface [..] that lets you control everything using only your fingers."
.... so, like a normal phone then?!?
But I'm sure it will cover mms, and much more. You may also like the look of this (or recognise it slightly) which cam out last year...

Yes, it does SMS and MMS.
jenky: the revolution is that it's the first multi-touch screen for the masses. That interface is the revolution.
Finally, discostu, once wimax becomes more popular (wifi that's everywhere, either free or for a small fee), everyone will be able to send messages with email, which is far better than SMS/MMS anyway. Incidentally, this is that the Japanese do: they don't use SMS like we do.

it looks stunning, but i dont think i could get used to typing msg's using a touch screen..
if you google it and look at it on apple's site, there are comments about it underneath, and some people have said that because its quite thin they dont think the battery is going to be so great, and that the screen will probably damage more easily.. worth reading if your interested in the phone, its got a specification and things on there too.
hope this may help x
