vauxhall zafira temperature dispaly not working?

just bought a 53 reg zafira and the temp display on the dash (tells you the outside temp) isnt working.......any ideas anyone?
i havent got the user handbook.

The description of the fault is ..... not adequate.

Its not working in what way: is there no display, is the display there but doesnt change, is the display there but indicating a value it cannot possibly be (-24C, +56C)?
Also, have any other things stopped working in the same way (not displayed at all for example).
Try giving more detail and you may get offered some clues!

The sender unit is most likely to be faulty - it is usually located behing the front grille.
Cheap enough to change yourself - access to it may be a little difficult.l

jimmy like i said.......................its not working!!
the display is not working,think the title of my question made that quite clear! if it was giving false readings or other displays not working then my title would have been "zafira dispalyS not working and temp giving false readings"!!
