easiest option would be vw sharan /seat alhambra/ford galaxy - best with 130bhp diesel (make sure its in blue and not red btw )
It all depends what you want to do with it, the main differences that are the doors and the seats. Where do you park - will sliders be much better than classic push openers?
Some of the seats are bloomin' heavy to lift and shift and when push comes to shove just not that versatile. We had Galaxys for donkeys years, as you could have the seats in or out to suit job at hand. I could lift and shift the chairs without hubby if required ( some others too bulky or too heavy ) When replaced after a couple of years we re test drove most of them again. Still arrived at the same conclusion.
Mine were petrol but would only buy a diesel now. If I could do something in the design department I would have liked it to have one sliding door.
A good way to see a wide variety of vehicles in one place can be to go to a car supermarket like :http://www.tradesales.co.uk/
if you live within striking distance that is ...
some of the mini mpv s were interesting when I last looked at them.
Toyota Previas are good - go for the D-4D diesel if you can afford it. Renault Espaces are legendary but not as reliable as you'd think. Vauxhall Zafira (old and current shape) has clever Flex7 seating that folds into the floor.
