I have a few games that are quite old and run on windows95/98 but not on xp. I can get a few to run but with ni sound. I've downloaded dosbox (but not sure what to do with it!) and also tried running the programs through VDMS but I still can't get any sound or it says it can't find the CD - and some still won't play at all. Anyone got any ideas?

ok right what you want to do is to go to the game properties and look under compatiblity the click run compatiblity mode for the select 95/98 or whatever you need hope it helps
soz i meant game icon properties
Although dosbox can look quite daunting with all the options it has, it also supports drag & drop - just drag the icon of the game you wish to play onto the dosbox icon on your desktop and most of the games will play automatically and with sound, i think it uses windows to emulate the soundblaster card, which was the most common.......i think, feel free to correct me :o)
