Youtube video clips

Have the vlc plater with which to play the video clips on Youtube but how do I save them ?

Go to http://keepvid.com/

Then 'cut & paste' the url of the youtube page into the box on the keepvid page , then click the 'download' button on the right

After it's saved, you have to change the file extension to .flv to enable the FLV player to display it.

How do I change the file extension ?
Am a bit of a novice when it comes to files and extensions.

Any chance it can be changed so that Windows Media Player can recognise it ?
