Coronation Street - Friday Jan 12th
Does anyone else hope that Charlie survives and that both he and Tracy leave the series? Also, that Cilla is eaten by alligators whilst in Florida, Janice stays in France and Becky dies in a freak washing accident. That way we will have 4 of the most obnoxious characters ever to have been inflicted on the Street leave and make room for some decent characters . If people want misery then they can watch EastEnders.

Cilla, Janice and Becky have no redeeming qualities whatsoever and any Street in Britain would be glad to see them leave so why should we (the viewers) have to endure them? I watch Corrie to be entertained and those three do not entertain me in the slightest. When they are on I pick up a book until they are off the screen. If you disagree, then please be free to explain to me what qualities they have that you like.
I couldn't agree more osprey!
Charlie dies this weekend anyway and Tracey leaves about March - so that's two of them out of the way!
The Tracey/Charlie plot was quite good at first, but his constant gurning expression put me in mind of Kermit the Frog, plus his one dimensional acting became an irritant, so I will be glad when he finally expires.
Cilla, I quite like, she and Les make a good double act, but Janice (trout-mouth) and the equally ghastly Becky can go any time.

I like Les,Fizz and Chesney but cant bear Cilla or Janice. Saying that I would'nt change channel's or look away. Maybe Becky's taken the place of Frankie now? I love Eileen and Steve, they're great! Yeah Rita and "Dorris" as well. Aw Roy and Hayley are lovely. Not fussed on that wife of one of the Connor brother's. As for Bill Ward's acting, I think he's ace. He's more of a Shakesperian actor so to take on the role of Charlie must have been something of a challenge I'd say. I hope Steve get's to have Amy:-)
Further to my dislike of Cilla, I have to add the following:-
(1) she has treated her son terribly, using him as a pawn more than once to get what she wanted
(2) she thinks of no-one except herself
(3) she has cheated on the men in her life on several occasions
(4) she conned an entire street into thinking she was dying of cancer (if had just been Les for his dalliance with Yana that wouldn't have been quite so bad, but you can understand why Les did what he did given Cilla's history) and paying for a holiday in Florida - good on Chesney for the way he stood up to his mother
(5) she sold many of Les's things on the internet without his knowledge ostensibly to get money to pay bills but instead she spent it on herself
(6) I could go on but it would be a waste of computer space
