If so and you're worried about settling in a new school and making new friend's try not to worry. If Im reading right, you're far better off going with your mum than staying with a mate at your age. Another thing, would your mum consent to this? I doubt it,she'd be worried sick over you. Stay with your mum:-)
Oh I get it now, just the wording was not easy to decipher the meaning, your family is moving away and you have to go with them but you don't want to move and wonder if u can stay with a friend,
no you can't you have to move with your family, Mum knows best, she wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't totally necessary though.

Hi san14 - the prospect of leaving all your friends & familiar surroundings must be pretty daunting right now, but you could always give it a try - you might get to like it.
In 2004, a girl (then aged 15) who lived across the road to us, was so upset at having to move 90 miles away - but she was soon emailing our Granddaughter telling her that she loved her new home, bedroom, school, new friends & surrounding area.
Her Mum still sends us greeting cards & each & every one has said how happy they 'all' are & haven't looked back.
So give it a go & remember Mum's are usually always right in the end!

Hi shan!
When I was 14, my parents moved us 2000 miles away from where I grew up. I was so scared and unhappy about the idea of leaving all my friends and my home that I even had plans to save up and buy a plane ticket and fly back home once we got there.
It really didn't take me long to get settled in to my new home and make friends, though. I still kept in touch with many of my old friends for a few years, and that really helped the transition. I also got involved in sports and clubs, and within a year I was happy about the move and wasn't looking back at all! I know it seems horrible now, but have faith that this is all for the best, and you will be fine!
