Windows Media Player Help?

Okay here's a weird one

I'm suddenly finding it impossible to play MP3s In WMP it keeps bringing up the C00D11B1 error. Also with any video files I get a brief flurry as WMP searches for a codec to play it then it doesn't find the codec but plays the file anyway with no sound.

Weirder still I can play MP�'s through Realplayer but videos will only play sound but no picture any thoughts?
