Just thinking of making a day trip to Chesire Oaks from Ireland . Hoping to pick up some real bargains. Is it worth the trip, have they quality stock or is it like a tk maxx rummage session?
It's a very good retail outlet centre with a wide variety of stores but the bargains can be a bit hit and miss. I think it depends on when you go - sometimes there's not really much to be had and other times it's shopping heaven. I get really excited if I plan a trip there but if I take my husband he makes me pre-agree which shops we are going in and I have to stick to that! You could easily spend a whole day there if you can face a whole day of shopping and there's a food hall and other eating outlets there. Just behind the outlet village is a large retail park with shops like Borders, Boots etc and also a cinema complex with a lot of food outlets (pizza hut, nandos etc...) so you could even make an evening of it.
I think its good and ok if your a size 16 or under, when I went (when I was size 18) I didn't have much fun as hardly any of the stores has anything my size, my smaller friends loved it! and if all else fails go look round chester, its nice enough for shops
I'm going to be really boring now and tell you that you'd be wasting your time - I don't think there are that many bargains to be had. I'd either go into Chester (for the shops and site seeing) or the Trafford Centre in Manchester, if it's just shopping you're after.
You should totally go to Cheshire Oaks. I went to the Ralph Lauren store there, and picked up loads of designer bargains for me and my husband. If you have kids (or mabe nieces and nephews), you will love their kids range - its adorable!
