I'm applying for a job where I will be working from home. I currently work in a school for just one hour a day as a dinner lady. I've worked there longer than the Head and don't have any contact with him, hence he doesn't really know me. For this job application, should I put him down as my work reference? Or would I be better off putting someone else (e.g. deputy head, or my own supervisor, a teacher, etc.)?

Also, who could I put for a personal reference? I know I can't put family members, what about friends?

Thanks in advance

It would be probably better to put your superviser as they know you and your better. It's not a good idea to put friends, however someone you know with good standing in the community could serve just as well i.e any voluntary groups or church that you may be involved in
