each number represents a letter - e=11 i=8 n=15 s=20 u=17 w=2 etc,
so if you fill in the whole crossword each number represents a letter -then you transfer all the letters to the grid (on the right hand side) and it spells out what i sent you !

ie :b =13 r =23 o=21 k=26 e=11
so the first line is broke a rib !
