If a nature disaster happened, so only a small population was left, how would you feel and do you think you could cope?

yes i could cope because i am from a small area anyway and we dont like strangers round ere!!!!!

i even think i could cope without outside help as polititions and the eu members only think of the big citys and dont have an agenda for small towns like mine so it would be business as usual!!
i would be worried cos most people would probably be in a cliche, (sorry about the spelling) i would be the outsider and no one would befriend me or share their food and stuff, so i would be sad. : 0 (

actually i do seem to be having a very sad day today, dont i?
if i was in the pub and it was well stocked...then id do just fine

I think I would worry bout having loads of babies.
why would you have lots of babies bounce?
I would worry about scenarios such as in 28 Days Later and Rats (James Herbert), not the zombie/evil mutant rat things but what it can do to people and if anarchy ruled, panic, looting and people's survival instincts kicking into full force.

I suppose it'd depend on the circumstances but I'd like to think I'd cope ok, I suppose you'd have to.
lol! sorry but that last answer made me laugh!
"why would you have lots of babies bounce?"
Sounded like one of those jokes (like, what's green and goes up and down?) until I realised bounce is actually the name of the poster! lol
I'll get my coat now....:-)

Id lock myself in the Winchester
Well first I'd go and loot the local gun shops, so we had protection from anyone thinking they can bundle in and cause havoc. Then I'd loot the supermarket and get long term sustainable foods ( tinned etc), also likewise chemists for things like anti-biotics,then I'd loot the local garage having taken a tanker from the farm so we had fuel for vehicles electricity etc, then I'd find a strategically easy to defend position and recruit people who aren't as bright as me as there is safety in numbers. I would also try to establish a communication network of sorts to identify people wo could be of long term practical use like Drs, researchers, engineers etc and gather them together and try to rebuild. Then you are prepared for all of the worst things should they ever happen, which of course hopefully they won't, but by and large in situations like that warlords prevail for at least the first few years, so it would be quite likely that there would be skirmish like local wars for some considerable time.
I'd make sure I was next to that chap from the telly survival programme who knows what to eat from nature, how to make fires and how to make boats from bark etc. No probs!
Sort of hijacking the thread (sorry bounce!) but does anyone know any good post-disaster/apocalypse stories? Novels/online/otherwise?
28 days later is a disease taking hold but similarish.

There is also 48 the Domain, the third in the Rats Trilogy both by James Herbert.

The Rift by Walter J Williams.
I'd love to give it a try. I'm just fed up of people, people everywhere, and everyone is scared of one another , and that's 'COS IT JUST AIN'T NATURAL !
