I have to ask if it is possible to have a false positive pregnancy test. I have the implant (implanon) which I was told is 100% effective by the doctor. Also I had a period end of December. I did 2 pregnancy test on monday, one of which was definitely negative, the other had a very faint line. What does this mean? Pls can anyone help?

Thanks. That would explain it, so basically the answer is yes, it is possible. Thanks again.
Can i just say, the only form of contraception that is 100% gauranteed is sterilisation or the snip. All other forms of long term contraception, coil, implant etc are around 98/99% effective.
So if you are still concerned in a couple of weeks, i would do another just in case.
good luck :-)
