Does nice-tasting lower fat cheese exist????

I just had a very nasty encounter with some Tesco Healthy Living Cheddar. I made a lovely bowl of pasta and made the mistake of mixing in loads of this vile stuff! Now my bowl, fork, saucepan and teeth are coated in this weird substance that I fear will remain forever. What do they put in it....glue???

I had people over the next evening so added these cheeses to my cheeseboard. I cut a slice of the 'cheddar' and the texture wasn't rich and crumbly but slightly halloumi-esque. Waxy and a bit squeaky and there was no taste at all. Nothing.
One of my friends who is French summed it up nicely saying 'What is this sh1t? Bleurgh, throw eet away'
