Lump on Posterior Vaginal Wall
6 Answers
I've found a pea sized lump right at the top of my vaginal wall at the back under my cervix and is sore when touched. I've never noticed it before. I've looked at various anatomy pictures and cant find any that include this lump so im thinking it shouldnt be there. Would someone do me a huge favour and examine yourself by putting your finger in as far up as you can towards the small of your back where your cervix joins the vaginal wall and see if you can feel anything similar. I currently have my period but dont know if that may have anything to do with it. Any info is much appreciated.

However, if you say you have this lump and it is sore, I would recommend a visit to your GP or practice nurse just for a quick examination. Always best to get any lumps that are not usually there checked by a professional. You will feel better and your mind will be at rest then.
Hope you do that and good luck.

As Athley said, best to get it checked out by a professional, sooner rather than later if its sore. GP would be best but well woman clinics etc.. should be able to check it out initially for you and are usually on a walk in basis.
Could anything have nicked you up there or aggravated the area?
I had a lump up there found by a nurse doing a smear test and it was biopsied and found to be fine but best to get it checked out.

A sore lump could be a cyst or a boil. It doesn't have to be anything serious.
Alternatively it could actually very serious and potentially life threatening.
I really don't mean to sound like a b1tch but I see what happens everyday to people who don't do what they know they should when they have a lump and go to the quacks and get it checked!
Yes, I know it's a delicate area and 'embarassing' and all the rest of it. But a load of online people can't tell you what it is!
Get up and go to your GP's and get it sorted.
Good luck.
