Wind Damage

I've just got home to find part of the back garden fence has been blown down.
As I rent shouldn't this be up to the landlord to sort out?

I would have thought so yeah.

My 1st thought would be to ring your landlord and ask him. If he says no, do you have a contract you can refer to? If that doesn't help you either I'd be tempted to either fix the fence yourself (if it's not going to be expensive, it hardly seems the hassle) or if you wish to take it further maybe contact the CAB?

Your l/l should have this covered on his buildings insurance (for the property that you live in)

Hi, Garden fences are not normally covered by insurance.

i am a fencing contractor and i do a lot of work for landlords!! it is the landlords responsibility to get it sorted as long as its his/her fence!!

i do wonderful quotes aswell if your local to me, but i am a bit busy for a bit!!

I called them and they're sending someone out to fix it. Don't know when though.
