help finding an old friend

Hi,im trying to find someone who i met on holiday a few years ago in florida.I have the address and the name in illinois where she comes from.I have been on variouse web sits but they all charge to find out an e mail address or any info on them.how can i find out how to contact her over the net instead of writing a letter?Its so annoying that i can look at her house as plain as anything on google map,but cant send them an email!
On a search i did it brought up her mum,dad and brother and said i had to pay to find their email address.
Someone please help.

why dont you just pay? i for one am glad that pople cant find out my email address willy nilly, withut a bit of commitment!
have you tried doing a search on myspace - everyone seems to have one nowadays!

tried myspace,i put her name in and no results were found for that name.Also ive been off work for a month with a virus so funds are short.Thanks though.

Its not realy an option to write,i had a thing with her but now i have a girlfriend she wouldnt like it if i got a letter from her.I just want to know what she is up to thats all.

Why not write to her enclosing your e-mail address but not your postal address. If she's interested, she'll get back to you.

Theres nothing strange about wanting to know how a friend is and not wanting to **** my girlfriend off at the same time.

ok then. Personally if my hubbie was going to get upset if i contacted an old flame on a platonic level, i'd think he was barmy. and if i was going to do it behind his back, then i'd be barmy
