My Son has and old beat up ford fiesta van , that has been write off by the other parties insurance company. due to age and value of the vehicle only been 500. It was given a new MOT 3 day other the accident , so does that count as a new VIC CHECK and we can now drive the vehicle back on the public roadway. ? Do we also have to inform DVLA and get a new log book. ? Any help please.

the mot has no bearing on the vic test,it must be tested at a vosa test centre, before you will get a new log book and your insurance will be invalid if you dont get it done.
