Now that your post has moved from the front page can I thank you for it and suggest that you become a cryptic crossword setter (if you are not already!)
By a strange coincidence my son called yesterday to say he was going on the 'Millionaire' show and wanted me to be his 'phone a friend'.
I reminded him that i could hold my own with cryptic questions but my expertise in some areas was abyssmal. In particular I warned him not to embarrass us both with questions about Pop music, TV shows, 'celebrities' etc.
When I see GK questions about 'who's birthday is it on Wednesday'? I wonder what happened to the good old proper general knowledge .
Regards K

Hmm.
My 'clue' did you less than justice, K. It should have been 'a CX legend'. As for me being a cryptic setter - I can usually finish the DT but anything requiring real imagination leaves me quite breathless.
As for GK, I have a little aqua agility, but enjoy total ignorance of art, music, ballet, opera, politics, sport and all things modern.
Best wishes to your son, and to you, for WWTBAM. Do please let us know when it is to be broadcast.
Regards, AQ.
