I have a 10-year-old boy (Ryan) from a pervious marriage, we split up in 2000, and I now have a little girl with my new wife. My ex Wife has now remarried and Ryan has changed his surname to his new step dads name, do I have to still maintenance, I do see my son every other weekend, I have two jobs just to pay the rent on my flat and child minder costs, my Ex wife sold are house and kept the profits, she than brought a house, which she now lets out and lives in her new husbands house.

Do you pay privately or via the CSA? has the CSA made an assessment?

I would imagine you would still have to pay maintenance as you are Ryan's father ~ the CSA website has a maintenance calculator for you to estimate the proper amount to pay. The fact that you have a new family will be taken into consideration.

Out of interest, did you give your consent for your sons name to be changed?
