i need a wii

is anyone else still having a problem finding a wii?
i live in the north east of england and wherever i go to ask about them, shopkeepers just laugh in my face and say they dont know when they are getting them. some even say "not untill march " !!

I went into Comet on Friday and I asked if they had any in.
Crap timing because I asked just as they were selling their last two.

try asking in the unlikely places. Phone your local woolworths and ask when they are getting deliveries. Toysrus also had a few deliveries before xmas.
Im so wishing Id ebayed the one i got my boyfriend for xmas, Im a wii widow now and couldve have more fun with �600 in my pocket lol

I don't suppose it's much help, but every time you're out and about and pass a shop that would normally stock that kind of thing pop in, you might just be lucky enough to be just right on time.
That's how I got mine, went in, asked the question and was ready to about turn with the shop assitant laughing in my face (like they had done in every other shop!) and leave when he told me they had just got a small delivery!

also,in game or gamestation or other similar shops they will let you put your name on a list.so when they get some in you'll be in the queue.if you get one elsewhere just cancel that one.

Well if they laugh in your face it mostly like somewhere this year.
If they almost choke of laughter it mostly means they just suck at their job and the wii is in the behind of the shop.
But if they just plainly "laugh" in your face it means:

I think it's gonna be the same situation as I remember a few (ok quite a few) years ago when the SNES came out. We'd biked into town (about 15 miles away) to get one, only to be told by everyone that they didn't have any. One shop even told us they weren't out for another month!!
Eventually found one somewhere (I actually can't remember which shop - Andy's Records or something) that you wouldn't expect to find them.

Just keep looking and you'll find one.

It might not help you but I managed to get a Wii as a Christmas gift for someone without pre-ordering.

I was in GAME and asked to buy a voucher for �180.00 and the Manager offered me a Wii as he had some in his stock room which people had pre-ordered but as they hadn't collected them by the allocated time he was happy to sell me one.

It might be worth asking in your local GAME store??????
