Wrong e-mail address

I e-mailed someone and unfortunately, I missed 1 letter out of their e-mail address so it was returned to me. How do I get it off my screen? Everytime that I press send/receive to retrieve my e-mails, the returned e-mail keeps coming back onto the screen. I would appreciate any help on this. Many thanks in advance.
