Is there such a thing as a small desktop heater? I'm after an electric heater of some sort that's small enough to sit on my desk and provide me with heat without overheating my colleague sitting next to me.

Deshtop no good- heat will rise and never reach you.
What about a small fan heater under your desk? Not expensive and will toast just you.

A fan heate is no good as it blows the heat on to my colleague who is always hot (even when it's freezing). Fan heaters are also no good because they are quite noisy. I'm after something discrete. There are loads of usb gadgets out there, you must be able to get some sort of hear device!
Do Damart still sell thermals?
There are some silent and quite tiny little heaters. I saw one in a Kaleideskope catalogue a few years ago (when K. still existed). Try those "shopping guide" inserts in Sunday newspapers or what used to be known as "housewife" home magazines (no, not naughty housewives...). Aslo try Argos and other catalogue shops.
Just come back from Wickes and they had a big pile of desk top heaters! Didn't notice the price, but probably not too expensive.
