has anyone had any good experiences with them and actually got a loan through them? i'm a single mum and have paid the 49.50, which was a struggle to get, now it looks like i have lost that along with any hope of getting a loan.

Another loan company with a terrible reputation. I arrange secured and unsecured loans and won't use them - their service is appalling.
Sorry zoe but this is not a lender they take a fee to try and find you a lender and invariably they don't because the only reason you are going this route is because you cannot borrow through normal channels. They are parasites preying on the poor, I'm sorry this has happenned to you. If you are considering any more loans, run them past us on here before you part with any cash.
Hi Zoe. I got stung by them years ago and now would never consider a loan without looking up the company first. If you're going to companies like 'Yes Loans' then you obviously have been turned down elsewhere. If it's a small amount you're after (up to 500) then I would recommend Provident. If you need more then you will have to opt for a high rate loan through a company such as Welcome Finance, whom I used.

Best of luck.
