Yes! I have a Babyliss thingy. They are brilliant, but you can get exactly the same effect for 99p.
Buy three little pieces of fine grade sandpaper in a packet in any major chemist (Two different brands I use, but not sure if I'm allowed to advertise?).
Sensitive skin is a problem. I suggest you don't sand the day of a big event in case you have a little reaction.
Tips... First, don't do too much at once. A light quick going over more frequently is better than a heavy handed one-off sanding. Also, I soothe my skin by wiping with baby oil after. Third, I have found over the years that it is better to do it immediately before a shower, not after.
Wow! It's so much better than any other method because it smoothes the skin, too. Looks really shiny and healthy. Feels incredibly smoothe, too. Gives you that "model"-look.
